Sword Gaming PC helps readers choose gaming laptops at every budget. Because laptop listings are often confusing, with one model name covering several GPU and screen configurations, we hold our articles to the standards below.

Facts need a source

  • Our primary sources are manufacturer spec pages, manuals and official configuration lists.
  • Measurements such as sustained GPU power, frame rates, battery runtime and screen brightness come from independent laptop review outlets and hardware review sites.
  • Owner reports from forums and verified-purchase reviews are used to identify reliability patterns, not as precise data.
  • We do not publish a number we cannot source.
  • When outlets report different results for the same laptop, we check whether they reviewed the same configuration, BIOS version or power mode, then explain the difference or give the range.

How AI is used here

AI tools help with research, outlines and drafts. Human editors edit each article and verify every fact. AI never invents specs, measurements or test results.

Our independence

Editorial decisions at Sword Gaming PC belong to our editors. Laptop makers and retailers do not review articles before publication and cannot change our verdicts.

No one pays for a ranking

We do not sell placements and we do not publish sponsored rankings. Brands cannot pay to be included or ranked higher. Our revenue comes from affiliate commissions on qualifying purchases, explained in our affiliate disclosure, and those commissions do not influence our recommendations.

Disclosing conflicts of interest

We currently do not accept review laptops in exchange for coverage. If we ever receive a free unit, or a writer has a relationship with a brand in an article, we will disclose it in that article.

Update cadence

Guides are reviewed when new models or configurations launch, when firmware or driver updates change performance, when prices move a laptop between budget bands, and when readers report issues. The last-updated date is shown on every article.
